Rounds and Booking
As one of the finest and friendliest Golf Clubs in the North East of England, BGC are affiliated with Teesside (TSU) & Durham County Unions (DCGU). Billingham Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience on a mature parkland course, with tree lined fairways & meandering water hazards that will test your shot making skills. Each of the 18 holes have been designed in harmony with the local wildlife which includes regular sightings of Deer, Foxes, Squirrels, Wildfowl & Birds of Prey.
One of the oldest parkland courses in the North East Of England, Wearside is among a small number of golf clubs in Britain that start with a par 3 and finish with a par 5 travelling away from the clubhouse. This demanding course guarantees to provide picturesque views, and a friendly welcome, giving you a memorable visit to the Golf Club.
Situated in the Land of the Prince Bishops, with many stunning views of the picturesque Wear Valley and Auckland Castle, it is easy to see why we are considered one of the treasures in County Durham. Founded in 1894 on land owned by the Church Commission, the parkland course has retained much of its original character whilst being modified to keep up with the demands of modern golf. The Bishop Auckland Golf Course is a par 72 course measuring 6,257 yards. The course has some of the best fairways you could wish to play from and the greens are fine and true. The 7th hole is regarded by many as one of the best in the North of England and has featured in many magazines. The course is truly a good test of golf for all handicaps.
Richmond’s 18 holes comprise eight of the original nine holes and the ten which were added in 1972 by celebrated course designer, Fred Pennink, who expertly utilised every square foot of space then available.
Located in beautiful County Durham, Barnard Castle Golf Club is just one mile north of the town towards Middleton in Teesdale. The relatively flat parkland course is noted for its natural surroundings including 4 streams that run throughout the course and come in to play on many of the holes.
The course is a par 73 and offers a fair, though sometimes difficult test of golfing skills.
The golf course and its facilities are well established in the golfing world, a view that is firmly endorsed by the PGA, who regularly use the facilities for competitions.
The superb 18 hole parkland golf course extends over 145 acres and offers one of the best 13 bay floodlit driving ranges powered by Top Tracer technology, offering distance markers, raised target greens and chipping nets. Blackwell Grange Golf Club also boasts a superb short game practice area, putting green, a professional shop and excellent catering facilities in the clubhouse.
