ACED Junior Golf Tour 2027 Overview
After the very successful introduction of a new County Durham Junior Golf Tour in 2025 & 2026, the ACED Junior Tour will once again host professionally run junior events in the North East and give juniors the opportunity to play local courses in tournament conditions. These events for junior players will give them chance to continue playing in bigger junior events without a considerable drive to courses. This Junior Tour is designed for kids that have WHS handicaps in under 13,15’s and 18’s as the format is Single Stableford. The ACED Junior Tour will not have a membership making this tour open to all players and allowing all players to enter and play in the Grand Final at the end of the season. Kids that are 10 & Under and 8 & Under will not need a handicap to play - as it will be 9 hole Stroke Play. The Junior Tour will offer playing opportunities to all ages and all handicap levels. The age categories and tees that will be used are below.
Boys & Girls Age groups will be as follows:
8 & Under Boys & Girls – Red Flags
10 & Under Boys & Girls – Green Flags
Under 13 Boys – Yellow Tees
Under 15 Boys – White Tees Under 15 Girls – Red Tees
Under 18 Boys – White Tees Under 18 Girls – Red Tees
Age Groups – Your age group will be determined of your age as of January 1st 2027
Points will be given as follows – Boys OOM and Separate Girls OOM.
1st – 200 pts
2nd – 190 pts
3rd – 180 pts
4th – 170 pts
5th – 160 pts
6th – 150 pts
7th – 140 pts
8th – 130 pts
9th – 120 pts
10th – 110pts
11th – 100pts
12th – 90pts
13th – 80pts
14th – 70pts
15th – 60pts
16th onwards – 50pts
10 & Under, 8 & Under
There will be a shot limit change in 2027 – the maximum allowed shots per hole will be 4 over the par of the hole.
Par 3 – 7 shots
Par 4 – 8 shots
Par 5 – 9 shots
The Junior Tour will host 17 events throughout the year. There will be 3 OOM’s – Spring OOM (events 1-7), Summer OOM (events 8-16) The Overall OOM which will crown the Champions and recipients of the Champions of Champions spot in Ireland 2028.
The Junior Tour will host 3 Major Tournaments – Round 2 at Wynyard G.C, Round 10 at Morpeth & Round 13 at Oakdale GC – These events will allocate increased points for OOM’s and Automatic Invite to the Grand Final at Blackwell Grange.
To qualify for the Championship OOM Final – juniors in the top half of the category will qualify for the Order of Merit final (numbers to be confirmed once all events have been played) and players outside the top number will play for the Reserve Final.
All players that play either one or all of the events will be invited to the Final.
Every events entry fee will be same for every player, there will be no preference given to players entry. Once the available slots are taken, that is it. Entry fees to each event will be posted when full schedule is completed.
