Transition to PRO
I started playing junior tournaments around south east Queensland in the Greg Norman Junior Golf Foundation and I did this for the next 9 years. In that time when I was 10 I was invited to play in the Junior World Championships in San Diego, USA. I was the only Australian playing in the 10 and under age group. I finished 12th in the field - making me the 12th best junior in the world for the under 10 category. I turned professional at age of 19, starting my PGA Traineeship at Phillip Island Golf Club in Victoria, Australia. On my completion of the PGA traineeship I started as a teaching pro in Canberra before moving up to an Assistant Professional at Murrumbidgee in Canberra. At the age of 26 I took my first Head Professional role at Caboolture Golf Club back in my home town on Brisbane. I then took my next head professional role 3 years later back in Melbourne at Gardiners Run Golf Course a brand new course.
